Ingredients

2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 egg, at room temperature
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
8-ounces of mascarpone cheese, softened to room temperature
1 cup of powdered sugar
1-2 tablespoons of Kahlua (coffee liquor)
Cocoa powder, for dusting

Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
2 tablespoons + 3/4 teaspoon sugar, divided use
1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon warm water (110-degrees F)
1 cup flour, plus extra for kneading
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg yolk, beaten
10 cups water
2/3 cup baking soda
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon flaky sea salt
