I wish I had discovered and read these words years ago. It’s the first time I have ever heard something make so much sense about how I was - and at times still am - feeling.

Today is always hard. I wake up with a heaviness in my heart even without looking at the date. 8 years ago my world split into - the before and the after, never to be the same again.

At this point, It’s more manageable as the grief is just a part of me now, who I am and how I move through the world without you.

But I’ll miss you everyday until it’s my time to join you. I hope you are resting easy and looking out for us from the other side. Love you Ces.

Classic Tudor Revival style in Los Angeles from the ‘30’s or 40’s deserved a nod to its history while I styled this one. It was a LONG day but the end results…..I feel were definitely worth it.

Side note - I don’t often say this which is surprising with the amount of historical houses I see and have worked on in over 6 years across LA- but when I was alone for 2 hrs in here ….. well I was pretty sure I wasn’t “alone”. I do feel whatever or whoever was in the house (sounds of walking on the floorboards, doors closing, closet (sliding door) opening etc - it felt positive. Maybe it was Mom adding her influence and ideas into my head? 🤔😍

I would live here! I hope the new owners show it the love (and updates) it deserves.

Sometimes I am shocked that we can style an entire home in one day. It’s a LOT of work but it’s a labor of love and when it all just comes together the way I envisioned it - the endorphins kick in and give me a sort of design high!
