I thought I was holding a
But I was really holding a belief.
And it made me question how often we do this with people.
isn’t always what’s in front of us
It’s about what we’ve been taught to see.
And maybe…
We are all asking to be
I used to think this was just confidence.
But now I see it differently.
My body has been compensating.
One side doing more. Leading more.
And it made me realize
a lot of what we call “strength”
is just what’s been overused.
So now I’m slowing down.
→ noticing patterns
→ training both sides
→ choosing awareness over autopilot
this isn’t just dance.
this is behavior.
and I’m finally paying attention.

you’re getting closer

Clarity doesn’t come from forcing.
it comes from slowing down enough to notice.

not rushing.
not reacting.
just observing.
and trusting that what’s meant to be seen…

We call it “escape.”
But what if it’s actually

This isn’t discipline
it’s a routine my nervous system feels safe coming back to
my ADHD mind doesn’t respond to force
it responds to environment, energy, and what feels good
movement became regulation
not punishment
and yes… the dogs being here matters 🐕
this is what safe feels like
I’ve always felt everything deeply
all at once
emotions, energy… everything
and I didn’t always know how to hold it
so I learned to process it
through music
through sound
through feeling it instead of suppressing it

we’re okay now
we’re softer
we’re learning how to feel safe in our own mind
we were never too much
we just needed a way to process it

but I just needed space
to let everything move through me

I know I can come across as “a lot”….my mind moves fast, I feel things deeply, I jump from idea to idea, and sometimes it all comes out at once.
Not a lack of depth, but almost too much of it haha
What looks like intensity is really just a nervous system that processes everything louder, faster, and fuller
so I learned to give it somewhere to go
music became that space
a rhythm to land
a way to organize the chaos without shutting myself down
so yeah… I might be a lil intense
but I’m also expressive, creative, and fully aware
I’d rather be all of that
than quiet myself just to feel “easier” to understand ✨

The Premack Principle = using a high-probability behavior (something you already want to do) to reinforce a low-probability behavior (something you’ve been avoiding).
In simple terms:
you’re not “forcing discipline”… you’re designing it.
When the preferred activity is made contingent on the less preferred one, the likelihood of completing that task goes up. That’s behavior analysis 101—behavior that contacts reinforcement increases.
So yeah…
first the “ugh,” then the “I love this.”
And suddenly your brain is way more on board.
