SUSTAINABILITY 🌳 HAPPY EARTH DAY

Sustainability is a core tenet of our design ethos. An estimated 9 million tons of furniture is thrown out in the United States each year, accounting for 5% of everything brought to landfills. Our mission is to create long-lasting and reusable pieces, minimizing the resources needed to replace dated and worn-down products. We ensure the longevity of our furniture through quality craftsmanship, durable materials, and timeless design that avoids short-term trends.
HONEST MATERIALS
We prioritize using durable materials sourced sustainably, domestically, and locally whenever possible. We also use non-toxic materials and finishes for better indoor air quality, designing products that can contribute to LEED, WELL, and HHI certifications. Our commitment to ethical materials includes sourcing Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified timber, which ensures that wood – a renewable and eco-friendly material – is harvested from well-managed forests.
ON-DEMAND PRODUCTION
Our sustainability commitment extends beyond just materials. Tailored design means custom fabrication, reducing the environmental footprint. By only creating the products specifically needed for each project, we ensure the efficient use of resources. We promote a more sustainable future by only building products that we know will be used.
CIRCULAR LIFECYCLE
Our sustainability journey continues throughout our products’ entire lifecycles. Embracing a circular approach, we implemented a buyback program to give new life to solid wood and cast iron, transforming them into raw materials for new furniture. Our use of recycled materials conserves natural resources and reduces the carbon footprint of manufacturing.
