Wide Grip Flat Press:
Controlled tension. Full Pec recruitment. No ego lifting.

Why this is a chest day essential:
• The wide grip places more emphasis on the outer chest and stretch position
• Hammer Strength keeps tension consistent throughout the entire press
• Safer on the shoulders while still allowing heavy progressive overload
• Independent arm movement helps correct strength imbalances
• Better chest isolation than a traditional barbell press for many lifters

Quadrant vs. standard pressing:
The slight outward pressing path changes the angle of resistance and creates a deeper pec contraction compared to the typical straight-line flat press. More stretch. More squeeze. More control.

Heavy weight means nothing if the muscle isn’t doing the work.
