“It’s all about energy and movement and light and color.”

In our interview with Clara Berta, she shares how painting became a source of healing, purpose, and freedom. Inspired by nature, meditation, water, and the emotional language of color, Clara creates layered abstract works that feel fluid, luminous, and deeply personal.

Her advice to other creatives: take a risk, experiment, and give yourself the freedom to express.

The month is coming to a close, and we’re highlighting a few of Julia’s favorite new arrivals at the gallery.

Her picks this month include Jesse Black’s "Rodeo Rouge", Jane Harrington’s "Just Take a Few More Steps", and Fabio Coruzzi’s "The Pavement #4".

Julia was drawn to "The Pavement #4" for its quirkiness and the way it feels like a reminder not to take life too seriously. Jane Harrington’s "Just Take a Few More Steps" stood out for its scale and color, with a feeling that Julia described as completely entrancing, almost like being in a jungle. And as a big fan of Jesse Black’s work, she loved the experimentation in "Rodeo Rouge", especially the use of a map as part of the medium.

We always love seeing which new works each team member connects with most. All are now on view at Artspace Warehouse, Los Angeles.
