Calling all San Fernando Valley fine artists. 🎨
11:11 Projects is building the San Fernando Valley Artist Roster — a free, living directory of artists actively pursuing professional practice right here in the Valley. And we want you on it.
The San Fernando Valley is home to 2.5 million people and a thriving creative community — yet the Valley remains chronically underrepresented in arts funding, curatorial attention, and cultural data. That invisibility has real consequences: artists here get passed over for opportunities that go to better-mapped regions, and funders simply don't have the numbers to justify investing here.

That changes when we build the data together.
This roster is built to grow. The more artists who add their voice, the stronger the case we can make — to funders, to city agencies, to curators and commissioners — that the Valley is a serious, thriving arts region that deserves serious investment.
Being on the roster means:

In 2022, Reseda Rising Mural Festival brought artists, walls, neighbors, and stories together that helped transform public space into a living gallery.

Now, we’re building toward the next chapter.
Our muralist call is officially open for the 2026 SFV Mural Festival, and we’re looking for artists who are actively pursuing professional creative practice to help shape the visual landscape of the San Fernando Valley.
This call is for muralists and artists ready to expand their work onto a larger public scale. Selected artists will be part of a festival rooted in community, creative workforce development, and the belief that artists play a vital role in shaping the places we live. San Fernando Valley Artists will be prioritized, but all are welcome to apply.

Revisiting this very surreal and exciting moment from 2019, just before Valley Girl Redefined opened at Brand Library & Art Center, when Artist Casey Kauffmann and 11:11 Director Erin Stone, were immortalized as a New Yorker cartoon.

That exhibition was such a formative moment in the life of this work — an early attempt to complicate, reclaim, and reimagine the idea of the “Valley Girl” through the voices and practices of women artists from the San Fernando Valley.

Now, as we build toward BETTY, the 2027 sequel exhibition with CSUN Art Galleries, it feels powerful to look back at where this conversation began and how much deeper it is ready to go.
