Before children learn to play instruments or confidently perform more complex rhythms, they first learn to keep a steady beat. That steady beat helps develop listening skills, coordination, timing, focus, self-regulation, and musical confidence.

In our Big Kids classes, we practice feeling the beat in our bodies while singing rhythm patterns. It looks simple, but these playful moments are building lifelong musical skills one tap at a time.

Before creating Ladybug Music, our founder, Patricia, spent many years in Los Angeles as a singer, songwriter, and producer. Through that journey, she built friendships with incredibly talented musicians, including Grammy-winning artists, who helped bring the Ladybug Music collections to life.

After years of teaching early childhood music classes, she realized something important: when parents truly enjoy the music, they naturally sing, dance, and participate alongside their children.

That became the goal: to create original children’s music with the heart of a family sing-along and the quality of music adults would genuinely enjoy listening to too.

The result? Rooms full of families singing and dancing together.

When the grownups join in with joy, children do not just hear the music. They experience connection, rhythm, language, confidence, and the simple magic of making music together.

Every Ladybug class ends with a full lullaby.

For some children, it’s an instant cue to snuggle into a mat, cuddle with a grown-up, and listen. For others, it takes a little longer to transition. They may keep moving, exploring, or watching from a distance before settling in.

That is all part of the learning process.

Young children thrive on predictable routines, and our lullaby provides a gentle signal that class is winding down. Over time, these musical cues help children develop self-regulation, anticipation, listening skills, and a sense of security within the group.
