What does it feel like 3 days before you give a part of your body to someone else?
I’m anxious and emotional. I’m also excited and hopeful.
I’m grateful to my family and friends for their support. Thanks Mom and Allen for being my rocks. To Riley 🏍️ , Kate 🐈‍⬛, Ethan 🐷 and Henry🎢, you each have helped me in your own way. Thank you. To my boss Mark, thank you for your understanding and support. My therapist Nicole Abadi (need help? Check her out! She’s awesome!) has literally changed my life. Thank you. Countdown is on! I’m ready for our Kidney Party this Friday. Our surgeries will be around 7:30 in the morning and go for a few hours. We will be in operating rooms next door to each other. Jamie, Ronda, Mom and Allen will be in our waiting rooms. Crazy.
I’m proud of us. This journey has been fun, educational and healing. We’ve talked and shared way more in the past 9 months than we ever would have at the Johnson Xmas Party 😂.
