I have closed my beloved Lot 1.
I don't feel comfortable explaining my reasoning for closing it at this time.
I continue as the owner of the building so I freely made this choice. Having said that, I'd like to tell you about a love story.
I bought the building in 2003, when no one would be caught dead at this end of the Blvd. I waited for Echo Park to commercially develop and I waited and waited some more. In 2008, I built Lot 1 from the ground up. As often happens with construction, the plumbing inspections can hold you up. After firing 3 plumbers on the advice of my city inspector, someone told me about "the" guy to get it done. He came in, did the work and I passed my inspection in the first shot. We've been together every since the beginning. That guy, "the" guy, is Jason. Thank you J
My other love of life is music. That love grew at Lot 1 also. The experience of live music is amazing BUT the honor I feel to have been allowed to watch bands get their chops down, go on to play at bigger venues, and to form new bands while socializing at Lot 1 is priceless. I thank each and every musician / band so much. Rock on!
Most importantly, to the people that came through and supported Lot 1 and me, you prove that anything can be accomplished with love and support. Thank you and I love you.

P.S. find me in the 🌵
(doing the same thing???)
XOXO
