Introduce yourself to your student’s teacher(s). This could be done in multiple ways. My preferred method is by email due to it being an electronic paper trail. As soon as I receive my kids schedule, I go online and email their teachers. It is as simple as this post ✨

As the year progresses, and if there are areas of concerns, you can contact the teacher with the knowledge that you already provided the first positive interaction between you two. Also, if you have a situation where your student’s grades are declining, or there is a behavioral challenge, and any other thing that you were not notified about you can refer to the email that was sent. Ultimately, this allows teachers to be held accountable, and any good educator will be happy to receive the email!
