LAFD's Firefighter Candidate Advancement Program

The FCAPs schedule and locations are below:

Drill Tower 81 - Fire Station 81

-Line up at the metal gate on Nolan Place behind the Home Depot.

Monday 6pm-9pm
Tuesday 6pm-9pm
Saturday 7am-10am

Drill Tower 40 - Fire Station 40
330 Ferry Street
San Perdo, Ca 90731
-Line up on at the metal gate on Eldridge Street.

Thursday 6pm-9pm

If its your first time, please arrive 30 minutes prior to fill out a waiver and log onto our software. Wear blue PT gear, shave, cover tattoos, and bring water.

This training is offered free and developed to prepare Candidates to be successful in the LAFD's Academy/Drill Tower. Candidates will be taught a fire skill and go through a workout at each session. You must be 18 years of age to attend and be able to perform the fire skill and the workout.

FCAPs is closed on all major holidays.
