This reform of h**p laws in New Zealand is an encouraging step forward and demonstrates growing recognition of h**p's economic and environmental potential. However, there is still more work to be done. H**p grain should be fully approved for use in animal feed, and regulations should clearly distinguish between industrial h**p grown for fiber and grain and h**p cultivated for medicinal or recreational purposes.
Clear, science-based regulations can help farmers, processors, and manufacturers unlock the full value of this versatile crop while supporting rural economies and sustainable industries.
What additional policy changes do you think are needed to help the h**p industry reach its full potential?
20 years later, New Zealand scraps licensing and sets THC limit for h**p at 1.0% Despite the deregulation of cultivation, significant restrictions remain on what can be done with plant tops and roots.

🌱 Solutions Are Available. 🌱
It's easy to focus on the challenges facing our world—rising costs, environmental concerns, dependence on petroleum, and struggling rural economies. But there is good news: practical solutions already exist, and industrial h**p is one of the most promising.
H**p can provide sustainable alternatives for textiles, paper, plastics, building materials, biofuels, animal bedding, and hundreds of other products. Even more exciting, new technologies like the Fiber Kingâ„¢ Green Decorticator are helping make h**p more affordable and profitable by allowing farmers to harvest, decorticate, and separate fiber and hurd in a single pass through the field.
When farmers earn more money and the cost of h**p fiber and hurd decreases, entirely new markets become possible. That means more sustainable products, stronger rural economies, less dependence on petroleum, and a healthier future for all of us.
The future isn't something we have to wait for—it's already being built.
Solutions are available. And the best is yet to come.

Most of us have heard of h**p plastic and seen some of it being used in 3d printing, straws, and utensils. However this type of plastic made from h**p is unique in that this is a non-toxic plastic alternative. A stretchy thermoplastic that can extend up to 1,600% of its size. It uses cannabidiol (CBD) from the h**p flower that can replace bisphenol-A, the synthetic industrial chemical found in today’s processed plastics. Do you think something like this will work?
