Following acclaimed outings with their projects Yialmelic Frequencies, Galdre Visions, DIVA, and BlackBlack, Dompé recorded The Haunted House in one week, straight to tape, on the outskirts of Death Valley, engineered by Leaving Records mainstay and fellow psychonaut, Nico Georis.

‘I wrote my song “Echoes of the Heart” as a peaceful melody that brings me immense serenity and hope for my future. At the time , none of that was happening and I needed to create that space for myself. Creating this piece not only provided a calming escape but also challenged me to deepen my understanding of woodwinds. The intricate nuances and techniques required pushed me into new insights of what’s possible, allowing me to grow as an artist.’
