Vintage Soviet movie poster for An Ordinary Miracle (Обыкновенное чудо). Theres a more famous adaptation of this play which was released in 1978, but this is the first released in 1964. We love the artwork here by prolific poster designer Yuri Tsarev (Юрий Царев) who designed hundreds of movie posters and some propaganda posters as well. This is a really good example of his often fanciful work with the typography serving as the scafolding for the design.

Vintage soviet movie poster for the ballet film -- Secret of Success (Секрет успеха). The 1964 film tells the story of what it takes to succeed in the Russian school of dance, from little boys and girls who join, to the stars of Soviet ballet in the 60s. This is a beautiful poster by one of our favorite artists Myron Lukyanov and had a print run of just 8,200. This poster is in great condition and will be posted to sovietpaper.com soon.
