This is a chart of 30-year mortgage rates over the last year. Note the spike on the far right. The last two weeks have been the roughest in the 18 years I've been doing this, and yesterday was the single most volatile day in the history of the mortgage bond market. So, yeah, the Fed dropped it's rate that banks use to lend to other banks to 0%. There are no 0% mortgage rates! This will get better, but we don't know when.
