Long post alert, but a realtor friend of mine got me thinking about selling a home by yourself vs having an agent sell it for you. It’s no different with life insurance…… when I sell a policy to a client I let them know up front that I’m not the cheapest, however I make a promise to them that when their world is shattered by the death of loved one I will be there every step of the way. My team and I are the absolute best in Longview when it comes to helping families through those hard time. We will do whatever it takes to get the claims filed, paid out, protect the money and even help plan the funeral. We paid out over $2 million in the last 5 years in death claims. Recently we had a claim come in and the funeral home advised my clients not to reach out to me bc they could handle getting the claim filed and would even invest it in a annuity for them for a extremely large fee. When I heard of this i immediately called my home office and stopped their process. I had spoken to the deceased a few months prior and understood what he wanted to happen with the money. The conversation with the funeral director was fun to say the least, but make sure that your agent has a fiduciary responsibility to you. We got the claim paid in less then a week and made sure the funeral home was paid what they were owed as well. That’s just one of the many stories I have of paying out claims and making sure the families are taken care of. Plus most of the time since I’m investment licensed I can help make sure the death benefit is properly invested so that the family doesn’t loose money and it can grow for years to come creating a solid foundation for your kids and loved ones even after your gone. So are we the cheapest absolutely not but we do bring the most value of any agency that I know of. I promise not a single one of clients said “dang I wish my premiums were $5 less per month” when we show up promptly with a check.

P.s you should never buy a life insurance policy that has investments tied to it. Such as “infinite banking, indexed universal life or anything like that” if you have questions just ask, I promise we won’t pressure you into anything but you’re going to want to know before it’s too late.
