LONGVIEW, Wash. — Authorities have identified several victims following a catastrophic chemical tank rupture at the Nippon Dynawave Packaging plant in Longview, Washington, in what officials fear could become the deadliest industrial tragedy in modern state history.

Among those confirmed or believed killed in the incident are John Forsberg, Braydon Finkas, Gilbert Bernal, Dillon Miller, Clint “CJ” Doran, Jared Ammons, Tyler Covington, and Brad Covington.

Fire officials confirmed that at least 11 workers are dead or presumed dead, while seven additional employees remain hospitalized with injuries ranging from serious to critical.

During a Wednesday briefing, Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue Chief Scott Goldstein announced that emergency operations had officially transitioned from rescue efforts to recovery operations.
