❤️ We expected a simple ribbon cutting; We didn’t expect this.

When we looked around the clinic on May 21, we saw over 50 community leaders, educators, business owners, military members, friends, family, and supporters who took time out of their day to celebrate with us.

What was supposed to be a simple ribbon cutting became a powerful reminder of why we’re proud to call Longview home.

We want to thank the Longview Chamber of Commerce, a nationally recognized Chamber, for creating such a welcoming and memorable event. Y’all truly made our day special, and we are incredibly grateful for the support you’ve shown Longview Chiropractic Center.

A special thank you to Judge Tim Bryan (Gregg County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace) for presenting the Mayoral Address on behalf of Mayor Kristen Ishihara.

We are especially grateful for the support of the Longview Chamber team, including Dave Jochum (President), Catherine Camp (Membership & Retention Coordinator), and Morgan Wilcox (Business Development & Marketing Manager), along with Shannon Moore (Longview City Councilwoman, District 2), Roberto Monsivais (Cadence Bank), Grant Malone (Malone Insurance Agency), Mandy Parker (Sparklight), Kimberly Mantz (Sodalis Living Longview), and Leasha Howe (Texas Bank).

We would also like to thank:

⭐ Keene Guidry (CPU Business Owner) and Harry Crouse (Downtown Kilgore Community Leader and Property Owner)

⭐ Jo Lee Ferguson (Longview News-Journal) and James Draper (Gladewater Mirror)

⭐ Diane Shelton (The Shelton Team), Alan Scarborough (Scarborough Realty), Linda Voyles (Summers Cook & Company), and Melissa Sanches (TX Real Estate Queen & Company)

⭐ Rhonda Daniel (Longview ISD Head Director of Bands) and the outstanding Longview ISD band staff: Jada Alexander, Zachary Connors, Grant Woodson, and Christian Jesmore

⭐ Zack Burditt (LeTourneau University Representative) and wife Katy Burditt

⭐ Eleazar Mondragon, Rodrigo Mondragon, and Sarai Leyva of Ki Mexico ETX & Greenside for providing the incredible food

⭐ Petty Officer Deleon and Petty Officer Verhagen of the United States Navy

⭐ Carol Turner and Mike Turner, Dr. Turner’s parents, and Shannon Turner, his sister

⭐ Our amazing team: Shelby Collins, Estrella Zapata, Bridgett Riley, James Carpenter, and of course Dogtor Aries, Director of Pawsitive Alignment 🐾

⭐ Betty Golden, Shannon and Jerry Iverson, Debbi and Traci Romero, Gavin Collins, Leo Turner and our friends from the Longview Seventh-day Adventist community

We would also like to recognize the Longview Chamber of Commerce generous sponsors:

Austin Bank • Cornerstone Investors • AAON • Partner Industrial • Copeland Insurance Group • Longview & Kilgore Cable TV • Cablelynx Broadband • Starfish Consulting Services

As East Texas legend Lady Bird Johnson said:

“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.”

On May 21, we saw that hope in action through every handshake, conversation, smile, and word of encouragement.

To everyone who attended, supported, sponsored, shared, and celebrated with us, thank you.

You reminded us that Longview isn’t just where we work.

It’s home.

Dr. Turner had a great time celebrating with The Bourbon Alley and the Longview Chamber of Commerce at their ribbon-cutting ceremony. We’re excited to welcome another local business to our community and wish them much success as they begin this new chapter.

Mais, c’est bon! Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Congratulations on your grand opening, and welcome to Longview!

🇺🇸 After serving overseas in Poland, SGT James Carpenter, Our Director of Marketing, finally made it home…and Dogtor Aries could hardly contain his excitement. 🇺🇸🐾

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who answered the call to serve our nation and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Their courage, selflessness, and devotion to duty will never be forgotten.

Today we also recognize SGT Carpenter for his 17 years of honorable service with the United States Army National Guard. Throughout his career, SGT Carpenter has answered the call time and time again; Serving on humanitarian missions to Belize and Haiti during Operation New Horizons, supporting countless hurricane response missions through the Unified Logistics Element with the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security in Baton Rouge since 2013, and assisting during Task Force COVID operations.

Most recently, SGT Carpenter deployed to Poland in support of Operation European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce, helping strengthen NATO alliances against Russian encroachment and supporting stability alongside allied forces abroad. While overseas, he had the opportunity to visit and honor the memorials and resting places of allied forces, including American troops from both World War I and World War II, who paid the ultimate sacrifice defending freedom across Europe, thus securing stability to the rest of the world for generations to come.

We are incredibly proud of SGT Carpenter, his sacrifices, and the honor with which he has served our country. His dedication to service, both in uniform and here with our team, reflects the very best of leadership, patriotism, and commitment.

As General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force during World War II and later the 34th President of the United States, once said:

“Humility must always be the portion of any man who receives acclaim earned in the blood of his followers and the sacrifices of his friends.”

This Memorial Day, we remember those sacrifices. We honor those who never made it home. And we thank all who continue to serve with courage and honor.
