Let’s talk scheduling. Often times I get potential new clients who let me know their horse only needs to be trimmed every 8, 10, and sometimes 12 weeks. The reason? Well I’m not really riding much, or it’s just a pasture horse, ect. Here’s the thing, your pasture horse grows the same foot that a horse in regular work grows. Every horse deserves to be on a consistent schedule. I keep all my clients on a 4-6 week trim cycle. That’s because it prevents problems from starting, keeps the foot balenced through the trim cycle, and frankly is less work for me. So potential new clients, no I can’t do 8, 10, 12, or whenever you decide weeks in-between trim. What I can do is keep your horse’s feet healthy on a 4-6 week schedule. I promise your horse will be happier for it, meaning you’ll be happy, and lastly I’ll be happy! Let’s keep the happy vibes going with proper healthy hoof care 🤍
