New on the blog: Preparing for Colorado’s Fire Season 🔥

Despite having a rainy week in parts of Colorado, wildfire risk is still very real across the state. Wet weather can offer a false sense of security, and conditions can shift quickly.

For horse owners, now is the time to prepare.

🐴 Keep halters and lead ropes accessible at all times
📁 Store Coggins, vaccines, and medical records in a waterproof go-bag
📸 Take updated identification photos of your horses
🚛 Practice loading and unloading before an emergency
🗺️ Identify and plan multiple evacuation routes

Our preparedness blog also shares how HorseAlert is helping connect horse owners with volunteer trailer drivers during real-time evacuations across Colorado.

Stay prepared, stay alert, and don’t wait for conditions to change. Read the full blog at the: chr.org/fire_season_horse_safety🔗
