Ways to Feel Connected on Mother’s Day:
Write her a letter expressing what you'd say if she were here.
Cook her favorite meal or something she taught you to make.
Visit a meaningful place — her favorite park, café, or grave site.
Create a memory collage or photo album.
Light a candle in her honor and spend a few quiet minutes in reflection.
Start a tradition in her name — a donation, an act of kindness, or a walk in her memory.

Here's a more detailed look at each stage:
Denial:
This initial stage involves struggling to accept the reality of the loss, which can manifest as disbelief or a sense of unreality.
Anger:
As the reality of the loss sets in, anger may arise, directed at oneself, the deceased, or even the situation.
Bargaining:
In an attempt to regain control or find a way to change the outcome, individuals may engage in bargaining, often making deals with themselves or a higher power.
Depression:
This stage involves feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a sense of emptiness as the full weight of the loss is felt.
Acceptance:
This final stage involves coming to terms with the loss and finding a way to move forward, though it doesn't necessarily mean feeling "okay" with the loss, but rather accepting it as a part of life.
