Attention OIF and OEF veterans
Do you experience …
• Repetitive, unwanted memories?
• Sleep problems or nightmares?
• Nervousness, jumpiness, or anxiety?
• Difficulty concentrating?
If so, you may be eligible to participate in a 9-week research study involving exposure therapy (Virtual Reality or Imaginal Exposure) combined with a low dose of D-Cycloserine (DCS) or placebo (sugar pill) taken once a week during exposure sessions only.
All participants will receive this free PTSD intervention and all non-active duty military personnel will receive compensation for post treatment assessments.

PTSD Research Study Seeks Volunteer Participants.
Veteran Affairs (VA) - Long Beach Healthcare System researchers seek participants with trauma exposure related to combat service (deployment in Iraq or Afghanistan) for a 9 week PTSD intervention study involving exposure therapy (Virtual Reality or Imaginal Exposure). Participants will take a low dose of D-Cycloserine (DCS) or placebo (sugar pill) once per week on the day of each psychotherapy session. This study tests a new use of D-Cycloserine which has been FDA-approved for treatment of other disorders but not for PTSD and its combination with exposure therapy. If you are eligible for the study, study intervention is free and those eligible for compensation (non-active military personnel only) will be compensated for post-intervention assessments. Active military duty personnel will be asked to choose a charity to which the money will be donated. Free confidential evaluation.
