01.18.2020 - Burgeon Beer Co 3rd Anniversary
Late post for the after after party at This year was the brewer’s dart competition. Not sure who won, but I don’t think that was the point. It was great catching up with everyone in a spot I don’t have a chance I get to visit as often as I’d like.

01.18.2020 - Burgeon Beer Co 3rd Anniversary
First off I hope everyone is healthy and taking this quarantine seriously. We are in this together and need to do out part by staying home.
While we all remain in quarantine I’ve been going through past albums from earlier this year when life was normal. This week is Burgeon Beer Co’s 3rd Anniversary.
This years event brought breweries from all over the country to share their special brews with attendees. Matthew and the employees at Burgeon put on an excellent festival along with their killer crew of volunteers year after year.
Returning breweries in 2019 included:
Alvarado Street
Artifex
Aslin
Casa Agria

01.15.2020 - Beer Paper LA February 2020 Issue @ Homage Brewing
Through working with I’ve been fortunate to hangout with Matt and Lauren a handful of times, but never got the opportunity to work closely with them outside of beer events. So I was stoked to hear that I would be shooting their cover article for Beer Paper LA.
The day began with smell of fresh wort as I entered the tasting room. Jeremiah (Head Brewer) and Dominic (Cellarman) were brewing a new batch, while Matt and Lauren got ready for their close up. Facing East the tasting room brought in great natural light for the cover photo and I was able to get some action shots of Dominic working around the tanks.
Next Matt, Jeremiah and I visited their remote barrel room. Unlike other wild ferment breweries I’ve visited they do not refrigerate their aged hopes. Allowing them the chance to generating unique funky flavors. The barrels are only stacked two high do to the height restrictions, but allowed for easy access while Jeremiah syphoned off samples for them to taste and write notes for future releases.
Back at the tasting room Celeste was setting up for opening and we got some great pour shots before the sun went down.
I want to say thank you to the Homage crew for welcoming me into your space and sharing your process on wild fermented beers. Super happy with how the photos came out and look forward to my next visit!
