Cultural burning is an Indigenous practice of using controlled fires as a method of restoration. Fire is used as a tool to better manage natural resources. Using this method helps to create a diverse habitat, keep wilderness healthy, keep future fires low and manageable, improve soil quality, regenerate certain plant species, and overall, keep our resources healthy.
