I don’t want to be the “strong one” anymore.

I’ve fought battles, dealt with pain and illness… alone.
Smiled through it. Moved with grace. And still got scrutinized for it. So much hate.

I’ve loved people who didn’t love me back.
Checked on people who never checked on me.

I’ve had to learn everything on my own because the ones closest to me wouldn’t share…
So yeah, sometimes I show up late but I still show up.

Y’all can keep that “you’re so strong” title.
Because it comes with a weight I’m no longer willing to carry.

I don’t want to just survive.
I want support.
I want reciprocity.
I want ease.
