My sister was so good at encouraging kids of all ages and she loved kids so much. She was working at an elementary school before she passed away last year and I’ve been wanting to do something that would really carry on her spirit. Then finally the ideas started dropping in.

This is the start of something that I will be doing on a regular basis. Through my real estate business, I donated notebooks for all of the students at a local school in LA County. I also put together some customized gifts for the teachers. I was so excited to deliver these yesterday to my contact at the school. It felt so good and I knew that my sister would be flipping out over this. So I knew that this was the thing.

Very interesting. I understood what the NAR settlement meant but Barbara Corcoran explains it so well and so simply. She basically said:

“The NAR settlement doesn’t take away commissions from buyers’ agents. It just changes the way it’s communicated.”

A lot of NON-real estate professionals are spreading misinformation about this whole situation. So I appreciate her clear explanation about the matter.

Good real estate agents work very hard and do more than people can imagine. And nobody is going to be working for free. The good ones are worth every penny.

Also, the people getting generously compensated in this settlement are not the sellers. The big winners here are the attorneys.

For those of you who are a little closer to me, you might know that I lost my sister about a month ago. It was unexpected and tragic and, honestly, things will never be the same.
