Worms are my favorite decomposer 🪱🪱🪱
Our second day of summer camp with Gran Via Education was quite an adventure!
After learning about composts and how decomposers, especially worms can help, we created our own mini version.
The squeals of equal parts delight and curiosity were abundant when the real, live worms were brought out!
Did you know when you use black beans to dye fabric, the color turns out blue?! 🤯💙
We had a fun first morning together at Gran Via Education !
Dying with real, natural things can be tricky, and a long process, so we used tie dye powder instead.
Can’t wait to bring these hats back on our last day to celebrate our time together!

I have an at-home daycare that I visit regularly with my mobile STEM classroom trailer and our most recent lesson was all about rain & clouds 🌧️
(We are needing more rain in Colorado!)
We read the story “Little Cloud” by Eric Carle and explored clouds, water, and rainbows with different STEM stations.
There were a lot of fun sensory experiences with this lesson!

What’s my favorite part about my mobile STEM classroom trailer? 😍
The look on the kids’ faces when they step inside.
🥹 Big eyes, wide smiles (and sometimes an audible *gasp*)

It was a beautiful morning with ! They recently had been learning about different types of weather during their regular programming throughout the week.
💧I reviewed with the kids how floods can form, then they created their own design to keep the paper house safe from the flood. Once they were finished, they tested their designs with real water!
