I want to apologize for the past month of radio silence

This year has been a total whirlwind...

Had some ups
Had some downs
Suffered some loss,
Was faced with some challenges
But we were also blessed with something wonderful..

Back in March I found out I was pregnant...
Something I didn't think I would experience again... being a mom of an almost 16 yr the at the time m. And being 37/38 yrs of age with a genetic disorder , and some past surgeries I was thinking would hinder the ability to carry a baby... so when I found out about the pregnancy I was super worried and wasn't sure how things would turn out.

This pregnancy was much more challenging then my last and we had a couple scares

When I was 32 weeks pregnant (on my grandma's birthday ) I had a small hiccup where I got to dehydrated and ended up in early labor..contractions every few minutes that ended up dilating my cervix 1 cm. After fluids and 14 hrs of monitoring things settled down and I got discharged.... had to stop working much sooner then I had planned and needed to take it easy...
Things went by pretty smooth for the most part...

Then At 39 weeks and 2 days we went in for our last weekly check up before baby girl Thomas-McDermotts duedate.
We were expecting to go in, come out head home and go from there...
Instead of that plans changed

After having my blood pressure taken by the nurse. The Dr came in and said how do you guys feel about possibly having a baby today?

Ryan and I looked at eachother and said huh? What do you mean? She isn't due for another week

They said my blood pressure was a tad high, and being 38 yrs old they wanted to admit me to the birthing pavilion for further testing and monitoring... and if things looked OK then I could go home but if not then I'd need to stay and have labor induced

So off we went to the birthing pavilion and after some more testing they said I had pre-eclampsia and that we need to induce labor ...safest thing for mama and baby

Nov 5 we went in for what we thought was just a check up

Nov 6 we welcomed our 2nd daughter
Raylynn Mae in to the world
She arrived at 9:48 am
Weighing 8 lbs 5.7 oz
measuring at 21 inches

Its going to be a little while before I am able to concentrate on creating again...but I am still here and have some ideas floating around in my head...

Custom orders are on hold.. not taking any untill my munchkin is a little bigger

I do have pieces available if anyone is needing a unique one of a kind Christmas present for a friend or family I do have a good selection to choose from :)

Shipping is available to those who are not local to where I live.
