The weather looks to turn active across the Bluegrass tonight. A Flood Watch is in effect for pretty much the entire state through Saturday. Today starts off with a mix of sun and clouds for most of us, with a few pesky scattered storms.

By tonight, a line of storms should dive in from the northwest. This will likely contain gusty winds, heavy rain, and intense lightning. There is a small tornado risk in western Kentucky along the Ohio River, but it is a very small risk. The bigger threats will be the rain and the wind.

Honestly, my biggest concern over the next couple of days is going to be flash flooding and river flooding. The atmosphere is super juicy right now, there's a ton of moisture for these storms to ring out. Couple that with the fact that the pattern is promoting "Training", where the storms will roll over the same area over and over again like a train track. We need to be very weather aware through Saturday, and make sure to respect all Flood and Flash Flood Warnings issued.
