We are proud to partner with Lompoc Valley Community Healthcare Organization, who recently received a grant for $10,000 in support of two critical programs: Cafecito Comunitario and the Wellness Empowerment & Leadership Network (WELN).
Cafecito Comunitario and the Wellness Empowerment & Leadership Network (WELN) specifically engage with Spanish-speaking residents and nonprofit leaders through culturally relevant health education, leadership development, and trauma-informed support.

We’re grateful for the beautiful afternoon we shared in October at our house party, hosted by Yvette Cope, RN, CEO of Lompoc Valley Medical Center and LVCHO Board Member, and her family. 🏡
Guests learned more about LVCHO’s 26 years of community-led work and heard the powerful story of how Cafecito Comunitario began.
Brenda, our Director of Community Programs, shared how she listened to parents, grandparents, young people, and neighbors and asked: What do you need? How can we support you? Those honest conversations shaped a program built from real community voices and lived experiences.
Thank you to everyone who joined us — and a special thank you to Daryl Cope for the amazing food, Jacob Cole for the great live music, and to Yvette and her family for welcoming us so warmly. 🤝✨
