Sherry came in with scraps of lace from her Mom's headpiece and veil. We pieced the scraps together to create a new border of lace at the end of Sherry's veil. The end result was a beautiful addition to Sherry's look. Having a beautiful bride, wanting to add something from her Mom, is what we are here for, creating new from vintage.

Originally, we cut down Mom's cathedral veil to create a short Brides veil. Now with what was left, several years later, we took the rest is Grandma's veil, to create a First Communion veil. Three generations of use. Now hopefully twenty or so years from now, the little communicant will come in for us to design for her wedding.

It has been awhile. We are still creating hairpieces out of scraps of fabric from the Bride, the Mom or the Grandma. Scraps are treasures.

Barbie Doll
The bride’s Barbie Doll from a cake she had as a youth was used in a cake for her shower. We created a tiny headpiece and veil to match her wedding veil. The mother brought in her original cake top from her wedding, and we used part of it to make a headpiece for the bride. They took a picture of the Barbie Doll cake to make unique Thank You notes.
