Hi Woodruff Parents,

We hope you feel as excited as everyone else at Woodruff Elementary to begin the new school year. It will be wonderful to have each of your students come to learn, and grow academically, physically, and mentally.

We also want to remind you of our Back to School Night this afternoon August 19, 2024, from 5:30 - 7:00pm. Come meet your students teachers, and classrooms, and get to know the school. We look forward to seeing you tonight!

No school Thursday, December 22nd thru Monday, January 2nd for Winter Break! See you back on Tuesday, January 3rd!!
FYI: In 1979 there was a severe shortage of oil from the Gulf States, which affected the U.S. economy, which in turn led to the rise in the cost of living. Most schools struggled to stay open during these tough times, and as a measure to balance with that reality schools started to extend the winter holidays. This helped reduce the energy costs in the schools and allowed students to spend the week with their families during the Christmas holidays.
