Have you ever booked a cruise on your own? Or an all-inclusive resort without an agent? Or a have you booked Disney & Universal because you’ve “been there…done that”. Who knows what Disney song that’s from🎶
I have too—many times! Was it successful? Yes! Did I love it? Absolutely!

But I’ve also booked with a travel agent. Was it easier? Maybe a little. Could I have done it on my own? Sure! Would it have saved me money? No—most of the time, their prices are the same as what I’d find myself. Did it cost me more? Nope! No booking fee’s on most trips!

So what did booking with an agent actually do for me?
✔️ It got my questions answered without waiting on hold for an 800 number.
✔️ It reminded me of my final payment so I didn’t forget.
✔️ It even got me a little extra onboard credit.
✔️ And most importantly—it gave me peace of mind.

But what did it do for her?
✨ It helped build her business.
✨ It earned her a word-of-mouth referral because everything went smoothly.
✨ It allowed her to keep doing what she loves—helping people travel.
✨ And, most importantly, it helped pay for her daughter’s next dance lesson.

Had I booked without her, I wouldn’t have saved anything. My trip wouldn’t have been any different. But a little girl wouldn’t have been able to dance her heart out.

Fast forward almost 5 years (Wow time flies when you’re having fun!)… That sweet mama I supported? We work for the same agency. While I no longer book vacations with her, we continue to support each other. I’ve gained a whole community of amazing travel agent friends that I consider my closest friends now because of her.💜 This business is about so much more than just travel—it’s about relationships, community, and lifting each other up.💜🤩

Sometimes, the best way to unwind after a travel day is with a little Southern hospitality! Enjoyed a moonshine flight and some amazing comfort food at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ at Disney Springs with a great friend last night before our event kicks off tomorrow. From crispy fried chicken to creamy mac & cheese, every bite was pure Southern goodness. And the moonshine? Let’s just say it did not disappoint!
