Back for our third summer on the Norris Glacier!

Meet the Beargrease Marathon team! Besides Sitka, this is a very young, but not necessarily inexperienced, team! Sitka ran this race with me five years ago (the first 300 mile race she and I had done), but nobody else in the team has ever seen this trail. Rob said the team has been doing great! The leader training we’ve put in the last two years (especially spending our summers on the Norris Glacier doing dog sled tours) is really paying off. There are lots of road crossings and lots of criss-crossing snowmobile trails that confused Rob and the team. But otherwise he has had good runs and should be leaving Sawbill shortly!
