🏛️ History comes alive when students become historians.
In this Historical Events PBL project, students tackle the driving question:
💫How do we, as historians, create an engaging museum exhibit so that visitors can connect with the stories that shaped our community?
Through research, analysis of primary and secondary sources, interviews, and exhibit design, students uncover the people, events, and perspectives that have influenced the place they call home.
The result?
👉Authentic learning with a real audience.
Students move beyond memorizing dates and facts to become storytellers, curators, and community historians who help preserve and share local history.
✨ Student voice and choice
✨ Authentic audience
✨ Community connections
✨ Meaningful historical inquiry
When students know their work will educate and inspire others, history becomes more than a subject—it becomes a story worth telling.
