The City of Boulder is to be congratulated for continuing on the right path utilizing controlled cattle grazing to reduce fuel load on nearby grasslands a suggestion I planted in an opinion piece in the Fence Post Magazine after the horrendous fire in Superior and Louisville several years ago.

Boulder is expanding its targeted grazing program, using cattle to reduce grass fuels near neighborhoods as part of its wildfire mitigation strategy.

Fields that three weeks ago were brown and burnt out from the dry spring are now lush and green, Colorado can quickly fix itself…..
