Vanessa Alvarez, Wheels Customer Service Supervisor, was recognized for her professionalism in caring for customers and calm response during critical incidents at the Livermore Transit Center. Vanessa’s dedication to keeping our riders and community safe was honored with a resolution of appreciation from the LAVTA Board of Directors.
Wheels staff works closely with emergency responders, looking out for the health and safety of our riders, and appreciates PD and FD swift response and support.

A record-breaking Fourth of July for Wheels!
This year's Independence Day was one for the books! On July 4, 2026, Wheels reached our highest single-day ridership ever, with over 7,100 riders choosing transit to celebrate throughout the Tri-Valley.
Thank you to everyone who rode with us and to our dedicated operators, customer service staff, maintenance team, dispatchers, and all the employees who helped make the day a success.
