Business in the front. Party in the back. 🤘
Yesterday was GFG’s quarterly Mullet Day—a day dedicated to stepping away from our desks to reflect, learn, and grow together.
We started the morning celebrating what went well this quarter and having honest conversations about where we can improve.
Then we spent time with Will from Southwestern Consulting. After completing a behavioral assessment, we learned more about our own unique behavioral styles and had the opportunity to better understand the strengths and communication styles of each of our teammates. One of the biggest takeaways was the difference between the Golden Rule and the Platinum Rule. While the Golden Rule encourages us to treat others the way we want to be treated, the Platinum Rule challenges us to treat others the way THEY want to be treated. Understanding how each person is wired helps us communicate more effectively, collaborate more intentionally, and build stronger relationships.
We wrapped up the day with some friendly competition at the F1 Arcade in Denver. 🏎️
Growth doesn’t happen by accident. Taking time to invest in our team, strengthen our communication, and build relationships makes us better for each other—and ultimately, for the clients we serve.
Here’s to another great quarter at Garrison Financial Group!

Garrison Financial Group and our Wealth Advisor Michaela Molvie recently hosted the very first Women, Fly-Fishing & Finance event at North Fork Ranch, bringing together an incredible group of women for a day of connection, learning, and adventure.
On a beautiful Colorado afternoon, nine women gathered to explore the parallels between having the right fishing guide on the river and the right financial guide throughout life’s journey. Both require trust, experience, a thoughtful plan, and someone who can help navigate changing conditions along the way.
The group shared lunch, meaningful conversations, and plenty of laughs before heading to the water to learn fly-fishing techniques from experienced guides. The day was filled with fish caught, new friendships formed, confidence built, and memories that will last well beyond the riverbank.
A heartfelt thank you to all of the amazing women who attended and made this event so special. It was inspiring to see so many accomplished women come together, support one another, and build lasting connections.
Kudos to Michaela for dreaming this up and seeing it though! 👏
Here’s to more opportunities to connect, learn, and grow—both on and off the water.
