Keep Arkansas Beautiful

Over two weeks of hard work and heart, Coordinator Dewayne Greene, the WestWood Neighborhood Association, and Brea The Golfer Service Initiative brought their community together for an extraordinary cleanup effort.

With 29 volunteers, they:
- Cleaned three public spaces
- Collected 67 bags of litter
- Removed 600 pounds of debris
- Restored four acres of parks
- Cleaned one mile of shoreline
- Cleared four miles of roadways
- Reported and cleaned two illegal dumps
- Recycled 26 pounds of litter and 105 pounds of other materials
- Maintained three community gardens

Dewayne shared that this two‑week effort was powered by partnership, with support from the Caddy Academy, Inc. and Western Hills Elementary PTA joining in.

The Six In Sixty event was a massive success. Coordinator Tim Pschierer and Green Ninja Taxi, LLC rallied an incredible 135 volunteers who collected over 100 bags of litter, removed 2,000 pounds of debris, and cleaned 12 miles of roadway.

Tim shared that the event brings the community together to clean six miles of Hwy 71B in just sixty minutes, supported by local businesses offering coffee and information. Educational booths, city resources and even a Republic trash truck helped teach residents about litter control, and gave folks a chance to sit behind the wheel.

Coordinator Liyah Wasson and the Doula Alliance of Arkansas brought together 14 volunteers to make their local park a cleaner, more welcoming space, and their impact was felt immediately.

Together, they collected 10 bags of litter and inspired everyone around them. Liyah shared that she hopes this effort encourages families to enjoy the park, motivates others to reduce littering, and helps more people learn about both Keep Arkansas Beautiful and the Doula Alliance of Arkansas. She also hopes the kids who joined learned new ways to give back and earned meaningful volunteer hours.
