Happy 4th of July from STEAM for the Next Generation! 🇺🇸🎆

We’re all for the fireworks, the cookouts, and the red-white-and-blue fun… but we also can’t help loving the science behind the show. 💥🧪

Those bright firework colors actually come from different elements:
🔴 Strontium helps create red
🔵 Copper creates blue
🟡 Sodium creates yellow
🟢 Barium creates green
🟠 Calcium can create orange

So, while everyone else is just watching fireworks, we’re over here thinking, “wow… chemistry really knows how to put on a show.” 😏

Wishing your family a safe and fun 4th of July! ❤️🤍💙

Algebra 1 does not have to be a year of worksheets, frustration, and asking when you’ll ever use this in real life.

At STEAM, Algebra 1 is designed to help students build a strong foundation in math while also learning how to think through problems, make connections, and actually *use* the math in meaningful ways.

One of the major projects in this class asks students to design and build a city, using Algebra concepts to support their decisions, solve problems, and explain their thinking. It’s hands on, creative, and a great way for students to see that Algebra is more than just solving for x on paper.

We still do the hard work, but the goal is for students to understand the math, grow in confidence, and leave feeling capable instead of defeated.

We currently have **1 spot remaining** in Algebra 1 for next year. If you’d like more information, the registration link is in the comments. Algebra 1 is listed as a **3rd period option** on the registration form.
