We often call aqueous ozone (AO) “natures cleaner,” but what do we mean by that? In a commercial setting we need advanced technology to produce AO for our own cleaning and sanitizing purposes, but mother nature makes AO all by herself.
Have you ever wondered why you can “smell” a thunderstorm coming? What you’re most likely smelling is ozone! Before a storm, lighting turns some of the oxygen (O2) molecules in the atmosphere into ozone (O3) molecules. Ozone has a very distinct almost sweet/refreshing smell that you associate with an oncoming rainstorm!
When it rains, these ozone molecules are brought down to the Earth’s surface. In these small concentrations, this ozone is harmless to plants, animals, and people. Because of how unstable ozone molecules are, any ozone that makes it down to the surface will naturally degrade back into oxygen, leaving behind no trace that it was even there!
Now, with modern technology, we can harness the natural cleaning and sanitizing power of ozone. By infusing ozone into water, we can produce a safe, sustainable, and extremely effective cleaner, sanitizer, and deodorizer. And just like in nature, when we are done using AO, it reverts into plain old water and oxygen, leaving behind not residue or harmful byproducts!
