The Gascon’s are officially a party of six and I had the pleasure of hanging out with them for the afternoon, photographing everyone in their element, at home. My favorite kind of newborn session. ♥️

When I first started business in 2011, I was mainly photographing senior portraits. Fast forward to today and it’s rare that I get to photograph them anymore! Ever since the start, this photography business has seemed to grow with me and match the phase of life I was in. Fresh out of high school, finding my way, building a career and connecting with other up and coming graduates. That quickly morphed into meeting my forever guy and getting engaged which paired with photographing weddings and engaged couples; championing people staring their own life and family together. Then as I became a mom and felt myself attach more and more to families and motherhood, a natural drifting occurred from the wedding world and into photographing births and newborns and families. ☺️

All that to say — your girl kinda misses photographing seniors!? There’s something so fun about one-on-one portraiture.

Don’t get me wrong, there will always be a handful of “looking at the camera smiling” photos for your Christmas cards + “Happy Thanksgiving” posts in your gallery from me. But I rarely share those ones here because the ones that really get me giddy are the moments in between; the candid banter, laughter, tickles, mama snuggles, conversations.. a husband brushing his wife’s hair off her face for her *un-prompted*. I want you to walk away with the nice, smiling posed photos but I also REALLY want you to walk away with the creative, unposed, real life stuff too. 🤝🏼

Roman is O N E!!! 🥳

Every year I donate a few sessions to some local auctions to support our school and my parents non-profit “City Gate”. I always love the anticipation of finding out who bid/won the sessions! I was so excited that the Sauder family won the session at our school’s annual auction last year. We had the perfect November evening this past month and their boys were all smiles for the camera. 🥰

If you’re wondering, 9 times out of 10, I am photographing at Speedwell. And it gets a 10/10 from me, for obvious reasons. 🤩
