The SCAD Atlanta Forty Four project was a major structural development as part of the university's Spring Street campus expansion in Midtown Atlanta. The first phase of the project consisted of the construction of a 10-story, 183,108-square-foot student residence hall featuring modern apartment- and suite-style housing, dining facilities, study areas, event spaces, and a parking garage.

#60 Years of Fabrication

There is always a lot of pride when we finish a truss. This truss was built in 2024 for a project in Hartwell, Georgia. Trusses are engineered frameworks made of interconnected steel members arranged in triangular patterns to distribute weight efficiently and provide exceptional strength over long spans. Commonly used in stadiums, bridges, warehouses, high-rise buildings, and large commercial structures, steel trusses allow for open floor plans with fewer interior support columns while maintaining structural integrity and load-bearing capacity. What an incredible day at Universal Steel Inc. as we came together to celebrate our Company-Wide Employee Birthday Celebration and the excitement of the FIFA World Cup!
