One thing I’ve learned is that teens should be taught about credit, and maintaining it. One tip I suggest is, you start them off. Add them to one of your cards that is in good standing, as an authorized user. Preferably one with a long credit length, good payment history, and low utilization. They’ll be thanking you later, when they’re able to buy their first car; brand new off the lot, with no co-signer!
