Beatrice Bernzott
1929-2016
For those of you that knew Beatrice Bernzott, the founder of the Yellow Ribbon Campaign To Support U.S. Troops and The Linden Historical Society as well as many other entities that she formed to help Linden and it's residents, she has passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ.
Beatrice was born in New York City, she lived in Clark, Colonia, and Maplewood before moving to Linden over 20 years ago.
Beatrice was employed as an account representative with Bell Atlantic in Scotch Plains before retiring. She was a member of Linden Historical Society; Concerned Citizens of Linden; and had at one time ran for mayor of Linden. She was the recipient of the NJ State Governor’s Jefferson award for Humanitarianism in 2012.
