Living Alternatives

Freedom is one of our nation's greatest blessings. This Fourth of July, as we celebrate 250 years of America's journey, we're reminded that freedom gives us the opportunity to serve our neighbors, strengthen families, care for mothers, encourage fathers, and help every child know they are valued.

For more than four decades, Living Alternatives has been honored to walk alongside East Texas families with compassion, hope, and practical support. It's a privilege we never take for granted.

As you celebrate with family and friends this weekend, we pray you have a safe, joyful Independence Day. Thank you for being part of a community that believes every life has value and every story matters.

One more update: you loved ice cream a little more than our freezers could keep up with! We sold out of most of our flavors, so we’ll be closed today while we make fresh batches and restock the dipping cabinet.

Look what happens when kids learn that they can make a difference? 🤩

Last week, Jonna and Stephen had the opportunity to share with the children at Colonial Hills Baptist Church VBS about the families served through Living Alternatives and the AXIA Center.

Their response was incredible.

These kids assembled dozens of diaper bags filled with diapers, wipes, bottles, pacifiers, burp cloths, and other essentials for moms and babies in our community.

We're grateful for these young servants and the church family that encouraged them to put compassion into action.

Every bag is a reminder that hope often starts with simple acts of kindness. ❤️
