For the 12th year, we had the privilege of hosting our Annual Outdoor Skills Camp for kids.

Throughout the camp, participants learned practical, hands-on skills including:

• Natural shelter construction and site selection
• Fire building and fire safety
• Water procurement and purification
• Essential knots
• Emergency aid
• Fi****ms and knife safety
• Situational awareness
• Fishing fundamentals
• Kayaking and canoeing

In a world increasingly focused on convenience, technology, and instant solutions, these are the types of skills that build confidence, self-reliance, critical thinking, and preparedness.

Most importantly, the kids stepped away from screens, got outdoors, challenged themselves, and learned skills that could serve them for a lifetime.

A huge thank you to our instructors, volunteers, and support team. This camp would not be possible without your dedication and commitment to investing in the next generation.

We had an absolute blast and are already looking forward to next year.

Recently members of our staff conducted training for Caldwell Zoo employees on life saving skills. AED deployment /CPR/Emergency Aid to be able respond more confidently during critical incidents.

Emergencies can occur without warning, and the actions taken in the first few moments can have a direct impact on the outcome. We are proud to provide training that equips individuals with the knowledge and confidence to respond when it matters most.
