UNL Forensic Science

Over Fall Break the Forensic Department here hosted some high school students from Omaha who were interested in careers in Forensic Science or Law Enforcement. These students were apart of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Explorers program. They were able to learn about forensics and gain hands on experience with microscopy from one of our professors (Dr. Murrieta) and practice fingerprinting with one of our upperclassmen (Tori Thurber).
