Roots Collective
We’re coming up on the end of the year, can you believe it??
I’ll be taking a 2 week break from the salon and also from posting here (unless I feel otherwise inspired ☺️)
Just want to say, thank you for another year of fabulousness. I’ve experienced nearly all the emotions with you guys in the sacredness of connection. It’s *always* been more than hair.
Here is a little hair journey of my own since cutting it big time in January. Our bodies store emotion and that’s just a fact. Our hair strands are connected to our nervous system and directly affected by our hormones and environments. That’s why it feels so good when you cut it off. Dead ends ain’t good for anyone! 😉
About half way into summer, I embraced the humidity and allowed my hair to meet up with it. That was also freeing! Big, frizzy hair is wild, sexy, independent and free! I’ve always been about low maintenance beauty routines but leaning into less product and even less time spent on hair management was unexpected and fun. 🤸🏾
I am so grateful to have gotten to welcome you into my new salon in 2025. There’s going to be more exciting newness coming in ‘26 so I welcome it with open arms!
As always, thank you for your support and patronage❣️ I am incredibly lucky to not only love the work I do but like the people I get to spend my days with. 🤗
Xoxo,

Featuring some really amazing humans of the week ✨
For the last few years, I carried an anxiety that never felt like mine.
It wasn’t until I worked with an energy healer that I realized I had absorbed it during a time when I was wide open and giving a lot of myself. She could even pinpoint it to who it came from without knowing my story 😲
This experience taught me that protecting my energy isn’t “woo-woo”, it’s basic self-responsibility. We take in more than we realize!
And if we’re not intentional, we carry things that were never meant for us 💛
